Just before Frodo is sent on his great journey into Mordor, Elrond confirms Frodo’s dedication to the mission. Frodo confirms it. This is a quote by Elrond, of the House of Elrond in Rivendell, to Frodo in regards to his future expedition.
“You will meet many foes, some open, and some disguised; and you may find friends upon your way when you least look for it.”
What I love about this quote is that it really is a delightful expression of life. Haven’t we all grieved over sudden or hidden foes that hurt us on the life path? Nevertheless, there really are hidden gems along the journey that show themselves as people who offer their genuine friendships when we least expect it. I love this quote!
